The Room Types page is where you define everything you sell to guests: hotel rooms, tents, bungalows, villas, caravans, apartments... Here you enter what you sell, how many you have and at what price; your AI assistant Mira gives guests availability and price information only from the data on this page. Mira cannot offer a type that has no price or no units.
Open it from the left menu by clicking Room Types. The panel language can be Turkish or English; the panel language and the language Mira speaks with guests are independent of each other (see the "Name and description translations" section below).
What is on the screen#
The page has these sections from top to bottom:
- Header area: The small heading "ROOM TYPES & PHYSICAL UNITS", the page title and a short description.
- Notification boxes (when needed): When you do something, a green (success), yellow (info) or red (error) box appears at the top of the page. For example "Rate plan added" or "Room type could not be deleted".
- New Room Type card: The form where you create a new type. This card is open when the page first loads. The badge at the top right shows your plan usage (e.g.
2 / 4 used). - Room type cards: One card per type. Cards start closed; click the heading to open one. If there are no types yet you see the "No room types yet" message.
On desktop, there is an On this page menu on the left: + New room type at the top, and the names of your types below it. Click a name and the page scrolls to that type and opens its card (Panel Overview).
Closed card (summary row)#
The card's heading row shows:
- The name of the room type (as written in your business content language).
- Capacity: how many guests it sleeps.
- Total units: and Physical units: badges. Both show the number of physical units linked to this type.
- A status badge: Active (green), Inactive (yellow) or Maintenance (orange).
- On the right, just left of the open/close arrow, a six-dot drag handle. It is used to change the order (explained below).
Open card (three sections)#
When you open a card you see three sections one below the other:
- Edit Room Type: A box that itself opens and closes. Name, capacity, description, translations, photos, activating/deactivating and deleting are here.
- Pricing: This type's rate plans (seasons, board basis, night limits).
- Physical Units: On the left, cards for existing units; on the right, the Add New Unit box.
Key concepts#
Knowing three concepts before you start makes everything easier:
| Concept | What it means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Room type | A kind of accommodation with the same features and the same price. This is what the guest chooses. | "Safari Tent", "Deluxe Room", "Caravan" |
| Physical unit | The real, individually countable copies of that type. Availability is calculated from the number of units. | Tent-1, Tent-2 ... Tent-8 of the Safari Tent type |
| Rate plan | The nightly price of a type for a certain date range and board basis. | "High Season", 15.06 - 15.09, 2,600 TRY / night |
There is no fixed "type list" in the system: a room type is completely free text. You create a hotel room, bungalow, tent, caravan, villa, apartment or any other accommodation kind of your business in the same way.
Plan limits#
Plan limits are checked only when you add something new.
| Limit | Basic (free) | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Number of room types | 4 | 20 |
| Number of physical units (total across all types) | 10 | 100 |
- The room type count includes inactive types, because what is limited is the number of records.
- The physical unit limit applies not to a single type but to the total of all your types. Even if you have only 3 types on the Basic plan, your total unit count cannot exceed 10.
- When you reach a limit, the relevant form disappears and a "You've reached your plan limit" notice appears instead. For room types: "The Basic plan allows up to 4 room types. Upgrade to Pro for more." For physical units: "The Basic plan allows up to 10 physical units in total across all room types. Upgrade to Pro for more."
- Even if you downgrade, your existing types and units are not deleted or deactivated; only adding new ones is blocked.
- For the Pro plan and how to switch, see the Account and Plans page.
Step by step: Adding a new room type#
- Go to Room Types from the left menu.
- Fill in the form on the New Room Type card at the top (the fields are in the table below).
- Press the + Create Room Type button.
- The new type is added as a card at the end of the list. Open the card.
- To add photos and enrich the description, open Edit Room Type.
- Add at least one rate plan from the Pricing section.
- Add the units from the Physical Units section.
A type cannot be sold by Mira without a rate plan and at least one active physical unit (see the "How Mira calculates price and availability" section below for details).
Field by field: new type form#
| Field | What it does | Example / Note |
|---|---|---|
| Room type name * (TR) | The name the guest sees. Required. The language code next to the field label (TR, EN, DE or RU) is your business content language; you write the name in that language. | Safari Tent, Deluxe Room, Caravan |
| Capacity (guests) * | The maximum number of guests one unit can host. Required; must be at least 1. Default 2. | 4 |
| Status | The type's starting status: Active, Inactive or Maintenance. Default Active. | If it is not ready yet, choose Inactive and activate it later. |
| Description (TR) | A short description Mira tells the guest. Optional. | Balcony, sea view / Electrified safari tent with a double bed |
| Internal system type | An optional short internal label. Entered only when creating; it cannot be changed later from the panel. It is passed to Mira as information. You can leave it empty. | DOUBLE |
Error and warning messages#
When you submit a form that fails validation, the page usually opens a warning card in the middle ("Bir şeyler ters gitti", meaning "Something went wrong") with the error message and a Tekrar Dene (Try Again) button underneath. In production, some errors may show this general message instead: "Bir hata oluştu — girdiğiniz bir değer geçersiz olabilir (ör. dosya çok büyük, zorunlu bir alan boş bırakılmış). Lütfen tekrar deneyin." (An error occurred - a value you entered may be invalid, e.g. a file is too large or a required field is empty. Please try again.) Common causes:
| Message (meaning) | What it means |
|---|---|
| Room type name is required. | The name was left empty. |
| Capacity must be at least 1. | Capacity is smaller than 1 or not a whole number. |
| A room type with the same name already exists in this business. | Duplicate name. |
| You can use at most 4 room types on the Basic plan. Upgrade to Pro for more. | Plan limit reached (on Pro: "You can use at most 20 room types on the Pro plan."). |
These error messages appear in Turkish even when the panel language is English.
Editing: name, capacity, description and translations#
Open the card and click Edit Room Type. Inside the box you find, in order:
- The Room type name and Capacity (guests) fields with an Update button next to them.
- The Description text box. Below it is a hint such as "Write in Turkish; the other languages are translated automatically when you save." (the language name changes with your content language).
- The Translations section (separately for the name and for the description).
- The Cover Photo field.
- As a separate block below the box, Additional Photos.
- The Status section and the Danger zone section.
Name, capacity, description, translations and cover photo are in the same form and are all saved together with the Update button. Additional Photos is a separate form and works with its own Add Photos button.
When you save, a green box appears at the top of the page: "Room type updated" and "'Safari Tent' room type was updated and its capacity was set to 4 guests."
The capacity reduction rule#
Increasing capacity is always allowed. When you reduce it, the system looks at the Pending or Confirmed bookings of this type that have not yet ended (check-out date not passed). If there is a booking made for more guests than the new capacity, the update is not applied and a red box appears:
Room type could not be updated: Capacity cannot be reduced to 3 guests. Active booking (booking number) was created for 4 guests. Capacity could not be changed so as not to affect existing bookings.
In that case, either wait until that booking is completed or manage the booking from the Bookings page.
Name and description translations#
Mira can talk to guests in Turkish, English, German or Russian. You write the name and description only in your business content language. You choose the content language on the Business Info page (default Turkish). The other languages are translated automatically when you save.
The panel language (the language of the menus) and the language Mira uses with guests are separate settings. Even if the panel is in English, if your content language is Turkish you write the name and description fields in Turkish.
The Translations section sits as a collapsed heading. Next to the heading the languages are listed briefly (e.g. EN · DE · RU). When you open it you see a separate box for each language and a status badge:
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Automatic | The translation was made by the system. It is translated again when the original text changes. |
| Edited manually | You changed the translation. It is not overwritten when the original text changes. |
| ⚠ Source changed | The original text of a translation you edited manually has changed since. Please check the translation. |
| Not translated yet | No translation has been produced yet. |
- If you type in a translation box yourself, that language becomes "Edited manually" and your text is used.
- To return a manually written translation to automatic, tick Switch back to automatic translation (or empty the box).
- When a warning appears and the translation is correct, tick Translation is up to date, dismiss warning.
- If boxes stay empty, the name and description are translated and saved the first time a guest in that language asks.
- If translation fails, the guest is shown the original text; it never appears empty.
Photos#
Photos appear on the cards Mira shows guests in availability results.
- Cover Photo: The main photo shown large on the card. Press Choose File and pick the file; the preview appears immediately ("No file chosen" is replaced with the file name; if there is no photo at all it says "No photo"). The photo is uploaded when you press Update. If you upload a new cover, the old one is deleted.
- Additional Photos: You can select several photos at once. If there is more than one photo, the guest sees a swipeable gallery on the availability card in the widget; the cover photo is always first. The Add Photos button uploads the files you selected.
- To delete an additional photo, hover over the thumbnail; a small × (Delete photo) appears at the top right corner. Clicking it deletes the photo without asking for confirmation.
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| File type | PNG, JPG/JPEG or WebP |
| Size | Max 2 MB (per file) |
If you select a file over 2 MB in Additional Photos, the file is removed from the selection automatically and you see a red warning: "(file name) is too large (max 2 MB), removed from the selection." The cover photo has no such pre-check; if you submit a file larger than 2 MB or of an unsupported type, an error card appears ("Fotoğraf dosyası en fazla 2 MB olabilir." (The photo file can be at most 2 MB.) or "Fotoğraf yalnızca PNG, JPG/JPEG veya WebP olabilir." (The photo can only be PNG, JPG/JPEG or WebP.)). So it is a good idea to shrink photos before uploading.
Active, inactive and maintenance status#
In the card's Status section you see a single button:
- If the type is Active: Deactivate.
- If the type is Inactive or Maintenance: Activate.
When you press the button it asks for confirmation ("Deactivate this room type?" with Yes, Deactivate / Cancel; when activating, "Reactivate this room type?" with Yes, Activate). Then a "Room type status updated" box appears at the top of the page.
For an inactive (or Maintenance) type:
- Mira does not suggest it to guests, does not quote a price and does not create new bookings.
- It does not appear on the Calendar page (the calendar shows only Active types).
- Past bookings, units and rate plans are kept.
- Existing future bookings are not cancelled automatically; you manage them on the Bookings page.
You can choose the "Maintenance" status only when creating the type. Afterwards, the card has only the Activate/Deactivate button for changing the status.
Deletion rules#
Deleting a room type#
At the bottom of the Edit Room Type box there is a red-bordered Danger zone section with a Delete Room Type button. Its explanation: "Only room types that have never been used in a reservation can be deleted. Physical units and rate plans are deleted along with it."
- Press Delete Room Type.
- The question "Delete 'Safari Tent' and its linked records?" appears. Choose Yes, Delete or Cancel.
- If the deletion succeeds, a green box: "Room type deleted. 'Safari Tent' and its unused related records were deleted."
It is not deleted if there is a booking. If any booking was ever made for this type (whatever its status: pending, confirmed, completed, cancelled), the type is not deleted. A red box appears:
Room type could not be deleted: "Safari Tent" could not be deleted. A real booking record was found: Booking: (number) (status, number of guests, date range). You can make the room type inactive to keep the data.
A Deactivate button appears right in the same box; press it to make the type inactive.
Temporary booking requests that never turned into a booking do not block deletion; they are deleted together with the type.
Deleting a physical unit#
On the unit card, open Edit and press the Delete Unit button at the bottom. The confirmation asked: "Delete unit 'T-3'? This action cannot be undone. Units that have been used in a reservation will not be deleted by the system." Yes, Delete / Cancel.
- If it succeeds: "Physical unit deleted. Unit 'T-3' was deleted successfully." The type's unit count updates automatically.
- If the unit was used in any booking, past or current, it cannot be deleted. Red box: "Physical unit could not be deleted" and "Unit 'T-3' cannot be deleted because it was used in a past or current reservation." The box includes a Mark Unit "Out of Service" button. The button asks for confirmation ("Mark this unit as out of service?" / Yes, Mark Out of Service); then a yellow box: "Physical unit marked out of service. Unit 'T-3' can no longer be used for new reservations."
Deleting a rate plan#
If you open a rate plan card and press Delete Rate, the plan is deleted immediately, without asking for confirmation ("Rate plan deleted").
Physical units#
The description of the Physical Units section: "You can define the numbers or names of the actual units belonging to this room type. e.g. 101, A1, K-01, Villa-01." If there are no units it says "No physical unit has been added to this room type yet."
Adding a unit#
In the Add New Unit box on the right (badge: 5 / 10 used, showing the total across all types):
| Field | What it does | Example / Note |
|---|---|---|
| Unit number / name | The number or name by which you recognise the unit. Required. Freely chosen. | 101, A1, K-01, Tent-3 |
| Status | Starting status: Active, Cleaning, Maintenance, Out of service. Default Active. | A newly added unit is usually Active. |
| Note | An optional internal note. Shown on the unit card. | Sea view |
Each press of the + Add Physical Unit button adds one unit (there is no bulk add). For 12 units you need to add them 12 times. Two units with the same number cannot exist under the same type ("Bu konaklama tipi altında aynı birim adı zaten mevcut." (A unit with the same name already exists under this room type.)); you can use the same number in different types.
Unit statuses#
| Status (EN / TR) | Meaning | In Mira's sales |
|---|---|---|
| Active / Aktif | Ready for use | Included in availability; can be assigned to a booking. |
| Cleaning / Temizlik | Temporarily not ready | Not included in availability. |
| Maintenance / Bakım | Under maintenance | Not included in availability. |
| Out of service / Kullanım dışı | Closed for use | Not included in availability. |
Important: these statuses are not date-based. The moment you set a unit to anything other than Active, it is considered unavailable for all dates, and stays that way until you set it back to Active. There is no "close for a date range" feature. Bookings previously made for that unit are not cancelled or moved to another unit; you manage them yourself. For details see the "Out-of-service units" section on the Calendar page.
Editing a unit#
Click the Edit link under the unit card. In the fields that open you change the number/name, status and note; save with the Save button.
Room link and QR code#
In each unit's Edit section there is a Room Link & QR button. Pressing it shows: the heading "Room Link - T-3", a QR code, the link address under it and two buttons (Copy Link, Download QR (PNG)), and Close at the bottom.
Explanation: "Print this QR code or link on the room card/door - when a guest scans it, their chat with Mira is automatically linked to this room, so they never have to type their room number."
- When you press Copy Link, the button briefly becomes "Copied ✓".
- Download QR (PNG) downloads an image named like
oda-T-3-qr.png. - This feature is used for guest requests. Details: Guest Requests.
Pricing#
The explanation of the Pricing section: "Manage this room type's nightly rates, season dates, and stay rules." The badge at the top right shows the number of rate plans (3 rate plan(s)).
If there is no plan, an orange-bordered box appears: "No price defined yet. The AI cannot give a price for this room type. Add a rate plan below."
Rate plan cards#
Each plan is one row:
- The plan name and a board basis badge.
- The date range:
01.04.2026 → 15.06.2026. If the start is empty it says "No start", if the end is empty "No end", if both are empty "Unlimited". Min. 1 nightsand, if set,Max. 7 nights.- On the right, the nightly price (
1.800,00 ₺ / night).
Click the row to open the edit form and the Delete Rate button.
Adding a new rate plan#
- Click + Add New Rate Plan.
- Fill in the form.
- Press + Create Rate Plan. A "Rate plan added" box appears at the top.
| Field | What it does | Example / Note |
|---|---|---|
| Rate name * | The name by which you recognise the plan. Required. | High Season, Standard Nightly |
| Board Basis | What the price covers. Default Room Only. | See the table below. |
| Nightly price * | The price for one night. Required. 0 or greater, up to two decimals. | 2600 |
| Currency | By default the Currency from the Business Info page. Options: TRY, EUR, USD, GBP, RUB, SAR, AED, GEL. | TRY |
| Start | The first night the plan applies. Optional. | 15.06.2026 |
| End | The date the plan ends. The night of this date is not included in the plan (see below). Optional. | 15.09.2026 |
| Min. nights | Minimum length of stay. Required; at least 1. Default 1. | 2 |
| Max. nights | Maximum length of stay. Optional; if entered, it cannot be smaller than Min. nights. | 14 |
If you leave both Start and End empty, the plan applies all year, with no time limit. If you enter only a start, the plan runs on indefinitely after that day; if you enter only an end, it applies up to that day.
End date logic#
This is where the most mistakes are made when entering prices.
- The Start date is the first night that is included in the plan.
- The End date is the first night that is not included in the plan.
So a plan 15.06.2026 → 15.09.2026 covers the nights from the night of 15 June through the night of 14 September; the night of 15 September belongs to another plan (or to no plan). For consecutive seasons, make the first plan's End the same day as the second plan's Start: 01.04 → 15.06 and 15.06 → 15.09. These two plans do not overlap and leave no gap.
Board basis#
For the same type and the same date range you can define separate prices by board basis.
| Board Basis (EN / TR) | Short description shown to the guest |
|---|---|
| Room Only / Sadece Oda | Breakfast and other meals are not included. |
| Bed & Breakfast / Kahvaltı Dahil | Breakfast is included. |
| Half Board / Yarım Pansiyon | Breakfast and dinner are included. |
| Full Board / Tam Pansiyon | Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. |
| All Inclusive / Her Şey Dahil | Meals and a selection of drinks are included. |
| Ultra All Inclusive / Ultra Her Şey Dahil | Meals, an extended drinks selection and extra services are included. |
These descriptions are fixed by board basis and are shown in the guest's language (Turkish, English, German, Russian). You cannot add your own menu content to them; if you have different content, write it in the plan name (e.g. "Breakfast + campfire evening").
Overlap rule#
Two plans of the same board basis in the same type cannot have overlapping date ranges. If you try to save an overlapping plan, a red box appears:
Rate plan could not be saved: This date range overlaps with the rate plan "High Season". Overlapping rate periods cannot be created for the same room type AND the same board basis.
- Plans of different board bases can sit side by side on the same dates (e.g. Room Only 2,600 TRY and Bed & Breakfast 2,900 TRY).
- A plan with empty dates (unlimited) is considered to overlap with all other plans of the same board basis. If you will add seasonal plans, do not use an unlimited plan.
- If one plan's End day equals the next plan's Start day, it does not count as an overlap.
Error and validation messages (pricing)#
| Message (meaning) | What it means |
|---|---|
| Room type and rate name are required. | The rate name is empty. |
| Invalid price. | The price is not a number or is negative. |
| Invalid currency. | A currency not in the list. |
| Minimum stay must be at least 1 night. | Min. nights is smaller than 1 or not a whole number. |
| Maximum stay cannot be smaller than minimum stay. | Max. nights < Min. nights. |
| Start date cannot be after the end date. | The dates are reversed. |
These messages also usually appear as the "Bir şeyler ters gitti" (Something went wrong) card, in Turkish.
Updating a rate plan#
Open the plan row, change the fields and press Update Rate. A confirmation window appears first: "Confirm this change? This change to the rate plan will be saved. Do you want to continue?" The window shows the plan name, with Current price and New price side by side. Save with Confirm and Save, or back out with Cancel. If it succeeds, a green box: "Rate changed. 'High Season' rate was successfully updated to 2600 TRY."
The confirmation window only compares the price; other changes such as dates or board basis are saved with the same Confirm and Save.
About the Min. and Max. nights fields#
The Min. nights and Max. nights values are shown on the plan card and saved. In the current version they are not enforced as restrictions in Mira's price and availability calculation; that is, a "minimum 3 nights" rule is not automatically rejected for a 1-night request. It is recommended that you also write your important minimum-stay rule (e.g. "at least 3 nights in July") in the Knowledge Base or Business Info and check it when confirming bookings.
Drag-and-drop ordering#
The order of the cards is used both in the panel and in the way Mira lists types to guests. For example, you can put the type you most want to sell at the top. A newly created type is added at the end of the list.
- Grab the six-dot handle in the card's heading row (a "Drag to reorder" tooltip appears when you hover) with the mouse.
- Drag the card over another card at the position you want. An amber outline appears around the target card.
- Drop it. The card you moved is placed just above the target card.
The order changes on screen instantly and is saved in the background; because the page is not reloaded, your open cards do not close. If it cannot be saved, the old order returns and this warning appears: "Couldn't save the new order, reverted to the previous one. Please try again."
How Mira calculates price and availability#
This section is so you understand how the data you enter shows up to guests. For how Mira works in general, see the How Mira Works page.
Which types are suggested?#
Mira suggests a type only if all of these conditions are met:
- Its status is Active.
- It has at least one physical unit.
- Its capacity is equal to or greater than the number of guests the guest stated.
Availability#
For the selected dates, the number available is found like this:
Available units = number of units with Active status - number of Pending or Confirmed bookings whose dates overlap
- Only units with Active status are counted. Cleaning, Maintenance and Out of service units are not included.
- Only Pending and Confirmed bookings take up space. Cancelled, Completed and No-show ones are not included.
- The check-out day can be the same as another guest's check-in day (this does not count as an overlap).
- The calculation is per type: Mira does not look at which unit is free but at how many places are left in the type. The guest's booking is created without a unit assigned; you assign it from the booking detail on the Bookings page.
- If the available number is 0, Mira treats that type as "not available" for those dates.
Bookings created through the AI open as Pending and become Confirmed when you confirm them. Pending bookings also take up space.
Price#
The price is calculated night by night:
- From the check-in day up to the check-out day, for each night the plan covering that night is found (start included, end excluded).
- If the guest did not specify a board basis and there are plans of more than one board basis for that night, the Room Only plan is preferred. If there is no Room Only, the plan with the latest start is chosen. If the guest asks for a specific board basis, only plans of that basis are considered.
- The nights are added up. If the stay spans two seasons, each season is calculated at its own price and an average nightly price is shown.
- If two or more board bases are defined for the same type and they cover the dates, Mira shows the guest the board options and the price of each.
The price is per unit (room/tent) and does not change with the number of guests. Capacity is only an upper limit.
In these cases Mira cannot give a price:
- If there is no plan defined for any night of the stay. Mira does not make up figures; it tells the guest there is no verified price.
- If the plans during the stay are in different currencies (e.g. one season in TRY, another in EUR), the total cannot be calculated. Use the same currency in all plans of a type.
Step by step: Setup for a camp with 12 tents#
Example: Pine Valley Camp has 8 "Safari Tents" for 4 guests and 4 "Mini Tents" for 2 guests (12 tents in total). The camp is open from April to October.
0. Check the plan. You have 12 tents in total. On the Basic plan you can define at most 10 physical units, so this camp needs the Pro plan (up to 100 units). If you are on Basic, you see the "You've reached your plan limit" notice after the 10th unit. You can switch to Pro from the Account and Plans page.
1. Check the currency and content language. On the Business Info page, confirm the Currency is TRY and the content language is Turkish. In new rate plans the currency comes from here.
2. Create the first type. On the Room Types page, go to the New Room Type form:
- Room type name:
Safari Tent - Capacity (guests):
4 - Status: Active (you may also leave it Inactive for now and switch it on once everything is ready)
- Description:
Electrified safari tent with 2 beds. In the shaded part of the camp site.
Press + Create Room Type. The card appears in the list, and the counter shows 1 / 20 (Pro).
3. Add photos. Open the card and click Edit Room Type. Select the cover photo with Choose File (under 2 MB), then press Update. Then, from Additional Photos, select 3-4 photos from inside the tent and press Add Photos.
4. Check the translations. In the same box open Translations. The EN/DE/RU fields are filled automatically (or are produced the first time a guest asks). If you correct the English name by hand, for example to Safari Tent, that language is kept as "Edited manually".
5. Add the physical units. In the Physical Units section, type Tent-1 in the Add New Unit box on the right, leave the status Active and press + Add Physical Unit. Repeat the same for Tent-2, ..., Tent-8 (8 times). The card heading shows Physical units: 8.
6. Add the rate plans. In the Pricing section, click + Add New Rate Plan and create these three plans (all Room Only, TRY, Min. nights 2):
| Rate name | Start | End | Nightly price |
|---|---|---|---|
| April - June | 01.04.2026 | 15.06.2026 | 1800 |
| Summer Season | 15.06.2026 | 15.09.2026 | 2600 |
| Autumn | 15.09.2026 | 01.11.2026 | 1800 |
The plans are chained end to end: each one's End is the next one's Start. That way no night is left without a price. If you want to sell breakfast separately, you can add a second set of plans for the same dates with Board Basis: Bed & Breakfast and a price of 2900; since it is a different board basis it does not give an overlap error.
7. Create the second type. Mini Tent, capacity 2, 4 units (Mini-1 ... Mini-4), with its own rate plans (e.g. 1200 / 1700 / 1200). You now have 12 units in total and 2 types.
8. Order them. If you want Safari Tent shown first, keep its card at the top; if necessary, reorder by dragging the handle.
9. Check the calculation. Test it from the guest's point of view (see Widget). Examples:
- 10 - 13 July, 2 guests, Safari Tent: 3 nights x 2,600 = 7,800 TRY.
- 13 - 17 June, 3 guests, Safari Tent: the nights of 13 and 14 June come from the April - June plan (2 x 1,800 = 3,600); the nights of 15 and 16 June come from the Summer Season plan (2 x 2,600 = 5,200). Total 8,800 TRY, average nightly 2,200 TRY.
- A group of 5: since no type has a capacity of 5, no single type is considered suitable; the group has to be split into two separate stays.
10. Watch availability. If all 8 Safari Tents are full for next week, Mira will say "not available" for Safari Tent on those dates. See occupancy on the calendar and assign tent numbers to the bookings (Calendar, Bookings).
11. QR codes (optional). For each tent, you can download a QR code via Edit > Room Link & QR and hang it at the tent entrance. When a guest scans it, Mira knows which tent they are staying in (Guest Requests).
What happens next#
- Once an active type + at least one Active unit + a covering rate plan come together, Mira suggests this type to guests and tells them its availability and price.
- The cover and additional photos are shown to the guest on the availability card.
- When a guest makes a booking, the record opens as Pending. Unit assignment and confirmation are up to you (Bookings).
- The moment you change the unit count, status or price, Mira's answers change; there is no extra "publish" step.
- A type with bookings cannot be deleted; it is made inactive. A unit with bookings cannot be deleted; it is set to Out of service.
Tips and common mistakes#
- Forgetting to enter a price: Mira cannot quote a price for a type with no rate plan. Do not overlook the card's "No price defined yet" warning.
- Not adding units: A type with no units is not visible to Mira. After creating a type, add its units.
- Writing the end date wrongly: The end night is not included. Chain seasons end to end.
- Adding an unlimited plan: A plan with empty start and end overlaps with all seasons of the same board basis. Delete the unlimited plan first or enter seasonal dates.
- Mixing different currencies: Use the same currency in all plans of a type; otherwise the total cannot be calculated for a stay spanning several seasons.
- Deleting a unit to close it completely: A unit with bookings cannot be deleted. Set it to Out of service instead.
- Temporary closure: There is no closing date range. If you set a unit to a status other than Active, it closes for all dates; remember to set it back to Active when you are done.
- Pressing Delete Rate by accident: It does not ask for confirmation and cannot be undone.
- Uploading large photos: There is a 2 MB limit. Shrink photos taken with a phone first.
- Breaking translations by hand: A translation you wrote by hand is not updated when the original text changes; only a "Source changed" warning appears. If you no longer want to manage it by hand, tick Switch back to automatic translation.
- Limits: Basic has a limit of 4 types and 10 units in total. Businesses with many units (e.g. 12 tents, a 30-room hotel) need Pro.
