Pricing Rules is the page where you set up automatic discounts to boost your direct sales. Once you add a rule, Mira automatically uses the discounted price when quoting prices, on booking cards and in the priced calendar in the chat; the guest sees the regular price struck through.
This feature is on the Pro plan. On the Basic plan the page is visible but its fields are locked (Account and Plans).
Rule types#
| Type | When it applies | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Last-minute | When at most the number of days you set remain until check-in | 15% when check-in is 3 days away or less |
| Early booking | When at least the number of days you set remain until check-in | 10% when check-in is at least 60 days away |
| Long stay | When the stay lasts at least the number of nights you set | 12% for 7 nights or more |
Last-minute and early booking are calculated from the day the booking is made (Istanbul time). A last-minute rule with "0 days" only covers same-day check-ins.
If more than one rule matches a booking#
Only the single highest discount is applied; discounts are not combined. For example, if both a 10% early booking rule and a 12% long-stay rule match, the guest gets 12% off. In a tie, the rule added first wins.
Step by step: adding a rule#
- In the left menu, click Pricing Rules under the Business heading.
- In the New Pricing Rule card, choose the Rule type.
- Enter a whole number between 1 and 90 in the Discount (%) field.
- For last-minute or early booking fill in Number of days; for long stay fill in Minimum nights. You can leave the other field empty.
- Optionally enter Valid from (check-in date) and Valid until (check-in date). These dates are checked against the check-in date; for example, an early booking rule only for winter-season check-ins.
- If the rule should apply only to some room types, tick them under Room types. If you select none, it applies to all types.
- Optionally enter a Rule name (optional, shown only in the panel). Guests never see this name; they are shown the rule type instead (e.g. "Last-minute discount").
- Press Add Rule. Pricing rule saved. appears at the top.
| Field | Valid values |
|---|---|
| Discount (%) | 1 – 90 |
| Number of days | Last-minute: 0 – 60 · Early booking: 1 – 730 |
| Minimum nights | 2 – 365 (long stay only) |
You can add up to 20 rules.
Editing, pausing and deleting rules#
The rules you add are listed as collapsed cards under the Your rules heading. The card header shows a summary of the rule (e.g. "15% off when check-in is 3 day(s) away or less"), the validity dates, the room types and the status (Active / Paused).
- Open the card, change the fields and press Save Changes.
- Pause switches the rule off temporarily without deleting it; Activate switches it back on.
- Delete removes the rule permanently. The price of bookings already made with this rule does not change.
What does the guest see?#
- Mira's price answer: a note such as "This price includes a 15% last-minute discount (regular total ...)" is added after the price.
- Booking cards: above the total price, the regular price appears struck through together with a "-15% · Last-minute discount" badge.
- Priced calendar: in the date picker in the chat, the lowest price for that night is shown under each day; discounted days are marked with a turquoise price and a small dot. Because the long-stay discount depends on the number of nights, it does not appear in the calendar; it appears on the cards once the guest selects their dates (Widget).
Which bookings does it apply to?#
| Source | Is the discount applied? |
|---|---|
| Mira / website widget | Yes |
| Manually entered Direct / Web or Phone booking | Yes |
| Manually entered Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, Other | No (that channel sets the price) |
On the detail page of a booking with a discount, the regular amount appears struck through below the total, together with the discount applied (Bookings). If the room type of the booking is changed later, the discount is recalculated based on the day the booking was made.
Tips and common mistakes#
- The discount is not showing: Check that the rule is Active, that the check-in date falls within the validity range and that the right room types are selected. If the plan has dropped to Basic, the rules are not applied.
- The price-hiding setting is on: If Pricing Visibility is on in the Widget, the guest sees neither the price nor the discount until they share their phone number; the calendar shows only the available days.
- Two rules overlap: Discounts are not combined; the highest one applies. There is no harm in keeping the lower rule as well.
