Extra Services

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Everything your business sells for an extra charge is defined here: excursions, airport transfers, boat tours, event tickets, car or scooter rental, breakfast baskets, face painting, and so on. When a guest asks about one of these services, Mira (the AI receptionist) answers using exactly what you wrote, including the price, and lets the guest send a request from the chat with one tap. You manage the incoming requests on the Incoming Service Requests page.

This page works the same on the Basic and Pro plans; there is no plan-based limit on the number of services. (Every new conversation Mira has with a guest does count towards your plan's monthly AI conversation quota; see Account and Plans.)

What is on the screen#

Click Extra Services in the left menu; a sub-menu with Services and Incoming Requests opens beneath it. The same two pages also appear as two large tab boxes at the very top of the page:

  • Services: the page you are on now, where you define your services.
  • Incoming Requests: the requests guests have sent (Incoming Service Requests).

Under the tabs there is a small uppercase label (EXTRA SERVICES), the page title and a short description. Then you see:

  1. At the top, the New Extra Service card labelled ADD EXTRA SERVICE: the form for adding a new service, with a + Add button.
  2. One card for each service you have added (oldest first). The cards start closed; only the service name is shown, and clicking the heading opens the edit fields.
  3. If there are no services yet, the text No services added yet.

On desktop, there is an On this page menu on the left: + Add new at the top, and the names of your services below it. Click a name and the page scrolls to that card and opens it (Panel Overview).

When you open a service card, it contains these fields from top to bottom: Photo, Title, the For sale checkbox, Description, Price, Currency, Unit, Price Note, a synonyms line, the Suggest proactively section, and the Save and Delete buttons. Below the box there is a separate Additional Photos section.

Step by step: Adding your first service#

Example: you run a camp with 12 tents and sell a daily boat tour to your guests.

  1. Open Extra Services → Services; the form is in the New Extra Service card at the top.
  2. Type the service name in the first line (placeholder: e.g. Boat Tour). This field is required; if you leave it empty, nothing is saved and you see an error page (the message, in Turkish, reads Hizmet adı zorunludur. meaning "Service name is required.").
  3. The For sale checkbox next to it is ticked by default. Untick it if you do not want to sell the service yet.
  4. Optionally choose a cover photo (PNG, JPG/JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB).
  5. In the description box, write what the guest should read (example: Boat tour of the bay, lunch and drinks included).
  6. Choose the price, currency and unit (example: 850, TRY, Per person).
  7. In Price Note, add the short detail that completes the price (example: Free under age 4, minimum 2 people).
  8. Write other names guests might use for the same service, separated by commas (example: boat tour, bay cruise, sea trip).
  9. If you want Mira to suggest this service even when the guest has not asked, tick Suggest proactively (details below).
  10. Press + Add. The service is added to the end of the list.

After the service is added, the Additional Photos section also appears in its box. A service has to be saved before you can upload extra photos for it.

Additional Photos Any number of extra images next to the cover photo. Up to 2 MB each.

Currencies#

The list contains: TRY, EUR, USD, GBP, RUB, SAR, AED, GEL. If nothing is selected or an invalid value arrives, TRY is used.

Units#

The unit list (shown in your panel language, Turkish or English):

Unit How it is phrased to the guest (EN) In the request window (EN)
Per person per person /Person
Per group per group /Group
Per night per night /Night
Per item per item /Item
Per hour per hour /Hour
Per day per day /Day
Per week per week /Week
Per month per month /Month
Per year per year /Year

The hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly units are meant for time-based services such as car or scooter rental. The sentence is built in the language the guest speaks (Turkish, English, German, Russian), for example "850 TRY (per person)" or "850 TRY (kişi başına)".

In the request window that opens when the guest taps Request this service, however, the price is shown in a shorter form under the service name: the amount, the currency symbol and the unit after a /, with no spaces in between. For example, 40 EUR with the Per day unit appears as 40€/Day to a guest speaking English and as 40€/Gün to a guest speaking Turkish. The unit name is written in the guest's language (Turkish, English, German, Russian). Only TRY (₺), EUR (€), USD ($) and GBP (£) are turned into a symbol; for other currencies the code itself is written (for example 850RUB/Person). For a guest speaking Turkish the thousands separator is a dot (1.500₺/Kişi); in the other languages it is a comma (1,500₺/Person).

Leaving the price empty#

If the price is empty, Mira does not build a price sentence; she only describes the service and its description, and the request window shows no price line. If you clear the price on an existing service and press Save, the price is removed.

Translations#

Under the Title, Description and Price Note fields there is a small Translations toggle (only in the edit box of existing services). When you open it, you see separate boxes for the languages other than your content language. Each language gets a status badge:

  • Automatic: the translation was produced by the system.
  • Edited manually: you changed the translation yourself; it is kept even if you change the original text.
  • ⚠ Source changed: you changed the original text after the translation was made, so check the translation. You can dismiss the warning with Translation is up to date, dismiss warning, and put a hand-edited translation back to automatic with Switch back to automatic translation.
  • Not translated yet: no translation exists yet.

When you add a new service, the translation boxes are not shown; languages are translated automatically at save time. Mira tells a guest who writes in another language the service name, description and price note in that language. If a language has no description translation at all, Mira adds a note in that language saying there is no verified information for the details; so after saving a service, check the translations with the Translations toggle.

Editing an existing service#

  1. Change the fields you want in the service's box.
  2. Press Save. The page reloads and the message ✓ Service updated successfully. appears at the top.

To change the photo: pick a new image with the small file selector in the box and press Save; the old cover is deleted automatically. If you tick Remove photo (visible only when there is a photo) and press Save, the cover photo is deleted.

To add extra photos: in the Additional Photos section under the box, choose one or more images with the file selector and press Add Photos. If a file you select is larger than 2 MB, it is removed from the selection and a warning like "… is too large (max 2 MB), removed from the selection." appears. To delete an extra photo, hover over it and click the × in its corner.

How Mira uses these services#

When a guest asks about a service#

When a guest asks about a service in the chat (by its name or one of its synonyms), Mira answers straight from your records, without going to the Knowledge Base or to AI interpretation. The answer is made of these parts:

  1. An opening sentence: "Yes, we offer … at …."
  2. A price sentence (if you entered a price): "The price is 850 TRY (per person)." plus the Price Note if there is one.
  3. The Description: as a bulleted list if it has more than one sentence or line.
  4. A closing line: "Please let me know if you have any other questions."
  5. The service's cover and extra photos.
  6. A Request this service button under the answer.

To get a clean and accurate answer, write the description in short sentences. Mira splits the description at sentence endings, line breaks and semicolons to build the bullet list.

If the service's For sale checkbox is off, Mira says the service is not currently available; the price, photos and request button are not shown.

If a guest asks a general question ("what extra services do you have", "which tours are there", "is there a transfer"), Mira lists the services that are on sale with their prices under the heading Our extra services:. No request button appears in that case, because it is not clear which service the guest wants. If the guest's question matches two services equally well (for example "rental": Car Rental and Scooter Rental), Mira does not pick one at random and asks which one they mean.

How to write synonyms#

Guests ask for the same thing in different words. Add them to the synonyms line separated by commas: boat tour, bay cruise, sea trip. Avoid very generic single words such as "castle"; they can be mistaken for other topics. Choose a more specific phrase like "castle tour". Write synonyms in your business's content language.

Proactive suggestions: offering without being asked#

Mira suggests the services you tick Suggest proactively on, by herself, at suitable moments. There are two triggers:

1. After a booking. When a guest confirms a booking in the chat, this sentence is added to the end of the booking confirmation message: "By the way, we also offer Service name, would you like that?" A Request this service button appears under it. At this stage Mira does not look at the booking itself (room type, dates): she suggests the first service in your list that has Suggest proactively ticked and is For sale, that is, the one you added first. If you ticked several services, the oldest one is suggested in each new conversation.

2. During the conversation. If a guest brings up a topic related to a service without naming it (for example "we're arriving by plane" → transfer), the suggestion is added to the end of the answer with the same sentence as soon as one of the trigger words appears in the message. This only works in two situations: (a) the guest asked something about the business but Mira has no verified information, and (b) Mira produced a normal answer from the Knowledge Base. It is not used for off-topic questions (such as "What is the capital of Turkey"). It is also not used, at this time, for fixed-answer questions about accommodation policies, facilities, rooms or prices.

Trigger words and synonyms are different:

Synonyms Trigger words
Purpose Recognise the service when the guest asks about it directly Make a suggestion when the guest has not asked
Example boat tour, bay cruise flight, airport, arrival time
When it works When the guest names the service and asks When the guest writes about a related topic without naming it

Trigger words are comma-separated; it is enough for one to appear inside the message (differences in upper/lower case, Turkish characters, hyphens and apostrophes are ignored). If Suggest proactively is off, these words are never used, but what you type in the field is saved; if you turn it on later, they are ready.

Spam protection: The same service is suggested at most once per conversation. It can be suggested again when a new conversation starts.

What happens next#

When the guest taps Request this service, a window opens where they enter their full name, phone and email, optionally write a note about date, duration or number of people, tick the personal data consent and press Send request. The request reaches you:

  • It appears in the Extra Services → Incoming Requests list with the status Pending.
  • A new notification appears in the panel's notification bell, and an email with the same information is sent to team members who have turned on Extra service requests under Settings → Notifications (by default only the Full access user).

The service name in the request window's heading appears translated into the guest's language, just like in Mira's answer. For example, a service you defined in Turkish as "Araç Kiralama" appears under its English name in the window of a guest speaking English. This name is the translation you can see with the Translations toggle under the Title field; if there is no translation in that language yet, it is created automatically the first time it is needed.

The Request this service button also stays in the conversation history: when the guest reopens the chat later (for example, by going back to one of their past chats), the button appears again under the related Mira answer and can still be used. In that case the window shows the service's current name and price. If you have taken the service off sale in the meantime (For sale turned off) or deleted it, the button no longer appears in the history.

You can read what to do next on the Incoming Service Requests page.

Tips and common mistakes#

  • Keep the title short and clear. Something like Boat Tour or Airport Transfer. The guest sees this name in the chat.
  • Write the description as if speaking to the guest. Mira passes this text on as it is and adds no interpretation of her own. Put what is included, how long it takes and the departure time in this field.
  • Always enter a price. For a service without a price the guest asks "how much?" and gets no answer; Mira then only describes the service.
  • Put conditions such as children, minimum people or booking time in Price Note. They then appear right next to the price sentence.
  • Do not delete to take a service off sale. Untick For sale; your photos, translations and past requests are not lost.
  • Photo size. When uploading a cover photo, choosing a file over 2 MB or in another format makes the save fail with an error. Shrink the file and upload it again. For extra photos, a large file is removed from the selection automatically.
  • The title cannot be empty. If you get the warning Hizmet adı zorunludur. ("Service name is required.") when saving, fill in the title field.
  • If the price is invalid (negative or not a number), the error Fiyat geçersiz. ("Invalid price.") appears.
  • Use proactive suggestions sparingly. Tick only services that really suit most guests (such as an airport transfer). Because the after-booking suggestion works in list order, the first ticked service is suggested after every booking.
  • Try the translations. Open the widget in English and ask for a service by name to check Mira's answer (Installing the Widget, How Mira Works).
